Meeting-Ops — Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 · Last updated July 11, 2026

Meeting-Ops is built to keep your meetings private. By default, everything happens on your device. This policy is provided by Magic Unicorn Unconventional Technology & Stuff Inc. ("Magic Unicorn", "we", "us").

On-device mode (default)

When you use Meeting-Ops in on-device mode, your audio recordings, transcripts, and summaries are created and stored only on your device. They are not transmitted to us or anyone else. We do not receive, see, or store them. We do not require an account.

Connected mode (optional)

If you choose to connect Meeting-Ops to a server — either Unicorn Commander's hosted cloud or a server you host yourself — your recordings and transcripts are sent to that server so it can sync, store, and process them on your behalf. This only happens after you connect a server and explicitly consent. If you use a self-hosted server, your data goes to your infrastructure, not to us.

If you sign in to a Unicorn Commander cloud account, we process your account email address and a user identifier to authenticate you and provide the service.

Who processes your data (connected mode)

When you use the hosted cloud, we share personal information only with service providers that help us run it: Stripe (payments), Postmark (transactional email), Cloudflare (content delivery, DNS, and DDoS protection), PostHog (product analytics; no audio or transcripts), and Umami (self-hosted pageview analytics). We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention (connected mode)

Server-side retention depends on your plan. After you cancel, account data is retained for 30 days to allow reactivation, then permanently deleted from primary systems; backups and audit logs may persist longer where required by law, security, or disaster-recovery practice.

What we never do

We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not show ads. We do not sell your data or share it with data brokers. We do not use advertising identifiers.

Permissions

Microphone and Speech Recognition are used to record and transcribe meetings. Transcription runs on your device.

Your data & deletion

On-device data can be deleted at any time in Settings. If you use a cloud account, you can delete your account and its associated data from Settings.

Children

Meeting-Ops is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age of digital consent, which ranges from 13 to 16 depending on the country. Creating an account and purchasing a paid subscription require you to be at least 18. The free on-device tier does not transmit personal information to us. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the revised policy at this address.
